Is there a way to remove the silent sections, creating new files that contain just the stuff I want to keep? I've already created items in my tracks that contain only the melodious sections of each track (select wanted part of item, split, delete new items either side of good stuff) but, of course, the underlying WAV is still the same old file. Many of these tracks contains extensive sections of silence - which means I'm using my disk & memory to hold many worthless bytes. I have a project that contains 33 tracks, all WAV files and all the same length & size (they were generated simultaneously out of my MIDI file player).
